Sometimes the best solutions are the simplest solutions .
Many people find the summer holiday period, a very stressful time, even if we have been taught that it have to be a time of joy and celebration. During this period we are often faced with many conflicts and inflated expectations, or unrealistic .
According to a poll conducted by About.com, over 80% of respondents reported that they find the holiday season in “somewhat” or “very” stressful.
The problems
Some of the most common problems that we face during the holidays are :
Increased traffic and more delays. In addition to the organize them and super commitment , and travel , there are also social gatherings and time with the family. Expenditures surplus for gifts and souvenirs. The increase in the consumption of sweets or alcohol. In addition to the commitment for reservations.
Solution: The Anchor
The term anchor concerns a simple technique , method, or tool , to stop and replace any feeling or manifestation of anxiety or stress.
The anchor technique is simple to create:
– inhale deeply, holding your breath for a short time (about 3 seconds).
– As you exhale slowly, say, or think, the word “peace”.
– Inhale deeply again and long (about 3 seconds).
– As you exhale slowly, say, or think, the word “relaxed”.
– Inhale deeply again and hold a point on the hand, for example (about 3 seconds).
– As you exhale slowly, say or think the words “under control”.

This simple technique takes less than 30 seconds. Depending on the situation, or level of stress, the anchor could run two or three times in a row (which takes less than two minutes).

Take a few minutes to write down what you can realistically accomplish during this time. Writing lists that can help you prioritize what is important and what is not so important.
